I know someone who has a Majestic visa and has had it for 5yrs. has never been late and has always sent more than the minimum amount, but the limit won’t increase, and they tell her that they don’t allow customer initiated credit line increase requests. And then come to find out (don’t know what its called, but would like to) it’s locked at that certain amount. DO THESE KIND OF CARDS HURT SCORES?

I am trying to pay off all of my credit cards. I have gotten all of the balances paid down but now I want to negotiate a lower interest rate so I don’ t pay tons of interest each time I use it. I have read some things on how to do it such as calling your cc company armed with your payment history etc. But I would like to know what exactly to say to not get pushed around and get the result I’m looking for… a lower rate.

Hi everyone… I’m in the US and traveling to Europe in the winter. It just occurred to me that if my cash & ATM/credit cards get lost/stolen, what do I do? We are planning on taking some cash, 1 ATM card, and a Visa credit card. That feels sufficient, but in case we have a stoke of bad luck, I’m kind of in the dark about our next step. Any help? Thanks!
